Corbett National Park

Highlights : India's first and finest park spread over 520 sq. kms. along the banks of the Ramganga river, just 300 kms. northeast of Delhi in the foothills of the Himalayas is the Corbett National Park. This is one of the richest areas for the typical big mammals of northern India. Popularly known as the tiger country, the park was etablished in 1936 by the governor Sir Malcom Hailey and named Hailey National Park. After independence it came to be known as Ramganga National Park. It was finally rechristened Corbett National Park after the renowned naturalist Jim Corbett who spent a major parts of his life in this region.It is a paradise to the animal lovers &adventure tourists.

Ideally set in the vicinity of the Ramganga River, Corbett National Park is worth visiting. Going on Delhi Corbett Weekend Tour is a sheer delight for the flora and fauna lovers. DAY 01 : Our coach/train will start from a fix point on every Friday evening after dinner, arrive Corbett in early in the morning. After having some rest take a Morning safari at Corbett. Day free for rest. Take an evening safari in Bizrani / Jhirana. Night stay at Corbett National park.

Day 02 : Corbett National Park
Take a morning Safari inside another route at remaining part of the park and proceed for adventure activities like rock climbing, river crossing, trekking around the area. Night stay Corbett.

Day 03 : Corbett to Delhi
Depart for Delhi after morning safari. Arrive Delhi late after noon and proceed for next destination.

RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK

Highlights : Ranthambore used to be the hunting grounds of the Maharaja of Jaipur. Today, it is famous for its tigers and is one of the best places in the country to see these majestic predators in the wild. The tigers can be easily spotted even during the day. A good time to visit between November and May when the nature of the dry deciduous forests makes sightings common.

The Park which covers an area of nearly 400 sq. km. and is set between the Aravali and Vindhya ranges. Its deciduous forests were once a part of the magnificent jungles of Central India. The terrain is rugged and there are rocky ridges, hills and open valleys with lakes and pools.

There are lake palaces, chhatris, old fortifications and a majestic thousand year old fortifications and a majestic thousand year old fort on a height overlooking the Park. The forest rest house at the foot of the Ranthambore fort is located in the lovely Jogi Mahal.

Day 01 : Arrive at noon at the resort. Afternoon boat ride in Periyar lake for animal viewing. Overnight in the resort.

Day 02 : Morning boat ride for elephant tracking and bird watching. One can have good photographic opportunities. The jungle visits lasts for about three hours. Return to the resort for breakfast & lunch. One can walk around the surroundings or bird-watch. Afternoon boat ride for animal viewing. Overnight stay in the resort.

Day 03 : Depart for onward / return journey after breakfast.
